Hairstyles tips for glasses wearers

Ok, so you are a beautiful, fashion-conscious diva looking for just the right hairstyle to convey your awesomeness. Just one small problem.. You’re also half blind, which means you have to organize every hairstyle around The Glasses.
Being the fashion-conscious diva that you are, you have probably chosen a frame that fits in with your facial features. So bearing that in mind, let me tell you about the three basic categories of glasses, the most probable reason for you choosing those and what you should keep in mind when trying to get the best hairstyle.
The first category is wide framed eyeglasses. These glasses have lenses that are significantly wider than they are tall, meaning that they create a horizontal line at your temples and extend well past the outer corners of your eyes. You probably have a wider face than the average woman or your face is shaped like an inverted triangle, a heart or a diamond. Our main objective here will be to get you a hairstyle that doesn’t further emphasize the wideness of your face. What you want to do is choose a hairstyle that has a bit of height on top and chunky, textured bangs for longer hair. If your hair is a bit on the short side, choose a hairstyle with strong vertical lines and close-in styling on the sides to balance the wide effect of your face.
Number two is large framed eyeglasses. The lenses of these glasses normally cover your entire eye area, roughly from your upper cheek to above your eyebrow. Regardless of whether the lenses are rounded or squared, if you have a bold frame style, your glasses are most definitely taking over as the most prominent feature of your face. This might mean that you have widely-spaced eyes or your eyes are such an important feature that you cannot hide them behind a frame, so big lenses are the closest compromise. When you choose your hairstyle, you need to remember to keep all of this in proportion. The best choice for you is to choose a style that is long and layered with extra volume on the sides. Flat, straight hair might cause your glasses to overpower your face completely and short hair will pretty much have the same effect.
The last one is small-framed eyeglasses, which is currently the most popular style. Normally your lenses are just large enough to cover your eyes and the frames are not too prominent or obtrusive. So you probably have a narrow or smaller face and have a small build in general. You don’t want to have hair that boxes your face in, because it will make your face look even smaller. My suggestion is that you choose a style that is longer and depending on your face’s width, with or without volume.
