5 Trendy A-list Celebrity Hairstyles

It’s that time of the year – winter. The time of the year dreaded by most women for the damage it does to our hair. So we find it easy to ditch our current style for a trendy new one to make us feel better about the appearance of our hair.
Here are 5 ideas for transformation into a new you!
Trend 1: Super straight
Time to dig out those straighteners, ladies: after several seasons out of favour, super-straight locks are back in vogue. Make sure your locks are in top condition before trying this trend. Invest in a good oil that will add shine, while also protecting your tresses.Add interest to your super-straight locks by twisting two strands from the front of your hair and securing them at the back with kirby grips. You’ll love this look!
Trend 2: Wet look
Be bold and brave this season with grunge-tastic wet-look locks, as seen on runways from Alberta Ferretti to Jason Wu.For a preppy take on the trend, add some volume at the roots and slick hair straight back from your face.Add some gel through the roots of straightened locks and gently comb back into place. Add a healthy dose of rock ‘n’ roll attitude to finish. This is a great trend for super-short styles: just add plenty of product to wet locks and slick straight from your face with a comb.
Trend 3: Retro Glamour & Best Blow-Dries
Spring/summer 2013 isn’t all about messy waves and low-slung ponytails – there’s always room for an ultra-glam blow-dry and a sleek retro up-do on the runway. Here are a few of my favourites; Loosen up your fully-loaded blow-dried locks by tucking one side behind an ear and gently rubbing a few strands together to create a bit of texture. A second option is Oh-so-slick and chic, the timeless classic side-swept up-do. Bring one side of your hair forward and create a sophisticated finger curl underneath a hat or headscarf.
Trend 4:Low-Slung Buns
Too busy for complex down-dos? This trend is your new best friend – the easy-peasy low-slung bun is back with a bang and chicer than ever. From centre-parted styles at Chanel to undone low and loose knots at Versace, anyone can nail this look.Pull your hair back and secure in a low ponytail and use a comb to smooth any bumps before twisting your ponytail into a bun and securing with a hair-tie, Simples.
Trend 5: Low Ponies
Oh, how we love the lowly ponytail. No longer confined to gyms and bathrooms, the ponytail is now a firm favourite on the spring/summer catwalks: but while 2012’s styles were high and slick with a 90s feel, this season’s styles are more laid-back, low-slung.A slick centre-parted ponytail will work every day.
To keep the look polished, blow-dry locks and apply a touch of hair oil so that your ponytail is ultra-glossy.
Now that you know what celebrities and the models on the catwalk is doing with their hair this winter, get choosing and give your hair a boost!
